B & J Catalano employs & trains its own workforce to manage, operate & maintain its equipment. There are over 300 personnel in B & J Catalano with some management, operators & mechanics having over 20 years of service with the company.
All operators have National Certificates of Competency 7019 in the equipment being worked and we have our own trainers/assessors to evaluate candidates’ performance and provide training & instruction. We have over 20 maintenance apprentices on our books and have an ongoing commitment to provide repair & fabrication apprenticeships for the local industries.
We have introduced training and buddy programs for all new employees that includes, induction, site orientation, risk assessment, traffic protocols and plant operation.
Work Experience Program – B&J Catalano participate in work experience and apprenticeship programs in conjunction with surrounding educational institutions.
